Floyd received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in Halifax, NS. He was initially drawn to steel, due to its malleable and forgiving nature, and he continues to utilize its range of colours as well as the way light plays off the surface. He has been exploring traditional metal working techniques to create textures and depth the same way a painter would use a paintbrush.
Using the properties of steel to create colours, texture and depth Floyd's landscapes are a modern take on the quintessential Canadian Landscape.
We currently have several of Floyd's Landscape's on display and available for purchase. Please get in touch via our contact page for further information.
